Jun 17, 2016· In my last games i had no use for so many coal. Huge Amounts of Coal laying around but nearly no use for it. I remembered that there is a way to use Coal to gain Oil: Coal Liquefaction and i think that is a real good usage for all the excess Coal! The Gameplay will profit from it i think.

liquefaction in the early 1900s. In 1925, Franz Fischer and Hans Tropsch used an indirect liquefaction process, which still bears their name, to produce excellent transportation fuels. Germany had 25 liquefaction plants that, at their peak in 1944, produced more than 124,000 barrels daily and met 90 percent of the nation's needs.

Jun 17, 2009· Coal Liquefaction is the process of converting coal powder into liquid hydrocarbons (gasoline, diesel and kerosene). The process was invented in Germany by Friedrich Bergius in 1913. It is the most severe refinery conversion process, with temperatures of 500°C (932°F), high pressure to 240bar (3,480psi) and a high degree of solids content in the medium. These conditions push .

Until the structure for a coal used in a liquefaction process can be completely defined and a complete analysis of all products obtained by the liquefaction can be carried out, we can only speculate on the reaction mechanism. Kinetic studies give valuable, although incomplete, information on the possible rate controlling reactions.
